Chip Olson

Chief Executive Officer

In 1995, Chip was a founding member of The Olson Research Group. Since taking over sales and operations in 1997, Chip has been responsible for growing the organization from 3 employees in 1996 to currently 80 full time professionals with offices in Newtown, PA and Palo Alto, CA.

Prior to founding Olson Research Group, from 1992 to 1995, Chip was an Institutional Retirement Education Specialist for The Vanguard Group of Investment Companies located in Malvern, PA. In this capacity he traveled nationally to conduct seminars in asset allocation management within retirement plans for Vanguard clients. Chip maintained his series 6, 7 & 63 licenses and would often present to the Board of Directors of various companies, as well as to audiences of up to 2000 attendees.

Chip graduated from Eastern University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Political Science.

Lynn Welsh

Chief Research Officer

As a founding member of The Olson Research Group, Lynn has been an instrumental part of Olson Research Group’s evolution from a 3-person consultancy in 1995 to the dynamic, extended-service research firm it is today. Lynn’s proven track record in leadership roles has substantially defined both the culture and construct of how Olson Research services clients. Lynn brings over 24 years of experience in all areas of healthcare marketing research, with an emphasis on collaboration, quality and superior client service.

In addition to her responsibilities in creating, communicating, and executing Olson Research’s overall strategic direction, Lynn also assists in delivering research results for some of Olson Research’s most valuable client relationships. With a keen focus on the art and science of insight generation, Lynn’s expertise in transforming raw data into graphically-oriented findings helps deliver concise, actionable results for clients.

A past MRA Executive Board Member, Lynn has been a featured speaker at marketing research industry association conferences, and has been published in various research trade magazines. Lynn holds a BA in History jointly from Towson University in Towson, MD and The University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland, UK and an MBA with a concentration in Pharmaceutical Marketing from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA.

Timothy Oczkowski

Chief Operating Officer

As Chief Operating Officer, Tim is responsible for overseeing all of the company’s day-to-day operations. Tim provides the strategic leadership and vision necessary to effectively grow the organization while ensuring overall operating efficiency and profitability. All while fostering a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company.

Tim has over 20 years of business management experience in the market research industry. Before joining Olson Research Group, Tim held leadership positions at TNS, Ipsos, and GfK. Highlights of Tim’s responsibilities at these full-service research firms include: Leading a global professional services operation with offices in the US, India, Romania, and Bulgaria; organizational restructuring and business process integration; process improvement; reducing operating expenses; quality control.

Tim holds a BS in Business Administration and Information Technology from Peirce College.

Tim Braddock

Chief Financial Officer

Tim’s current role within Olson Research Group is primarily focused on financial strategy with the goal of profit improvement. As a member of Olson Research’s Senior Management Team, Tim contributes to the overall decision-making and direction of the organization.

Tim is a Certified Public Accountant with 25 years experience in public accounting including auditing, tax preparation and business consulting. A long-time team member, Tim began his career at Olson Research Group in 1995 as the outside accountant assisting in designing up the corporation’s accounting system and providing guidance with all financial matters. Tim graduated from Monmouth College with a degree in Accounting and received his CPA license in 1992.

Tricia Kerins

Executive Vice President, Systems & Operations

Tricia is responsible for ensuring that cost effective operations and infrastructure are in place to support the organization and staff. In this role, Tricia maintains and implements programs and processes to optimize work flow across the organization for continuous improvement.

For over 15 years, Tricia has been an integral part of Olson Research Group, evolving to take on positions of increasing responsibility. With this experience, she understands the intricacies involved in conducting market research as well as providing a variety of market research services to clients primarily in the pharmaceutical industry.

Tricia holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and a BS from Rider University where she graduated magna cum laude. Additionally, Tricia has completed The University of Georgia’s Principles of Market Research course and maintains the Professional Researcher Certification (PRC).

Paul Allen

Executive Vice President, Research Services

Paul currently oversees the business development and client services team. Paul is responsible for developing new services designed specifically for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical devices industries. In this role, Paul is also a valuable contributor to the strategic planning and execution of all sales and marketing activities.

Prior to Olson Research Group, Paul was the President of Genactis, Inc., and spent 9 years at Clarkston Consulting. He spent 4 years at IMS Health, where he served as vice president of marketing, and was responsible for more than 60 marketing and sales professionals. Prior to IMS Health, Paul was responsible for managing the sales and operations, market research, and business development for Novo Nordisk Pharmaceuticals.

Paul has been a featured speaker at national and international pharmaceutical conferences and a guest lecturer at Rutgers School of Graduate Management and West Chester State University Graduate School of Business. Paul currently sits on the Board of Directors for Acsis, Inc; and is on boards of two industry associations – PMRG and HIMSS. Paul received an MBA from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ and a BS in biology and chemistry from Eastern University in St. David’s, PA.

Ethan Frank

Vice President, Field Services & Client Relations

As Vice President, Field Services & Client Relations, Ethan is responsible for overseeing the Field Services team, which handles fieldwork for all of Olson Research Group’s studies, as well as working with clients to effectively scope and formulate fieldwork design. Ethan’s experience and insights are priceless tools that he lends both internally when working on projects and externally when working with clients.

Ethan has been with Olson Research Group since 2006 and as a former Senior Project Manager, Ethan has been responsible for the largest and most challenging projects that Olson Research Group has been awarded, all with flawless execution. Ethan also spent time as a Research Analyst, where his tasks included interpreting data, formulating reports and making recommendations based upon the research findings.

Ethan earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, with an emphasis in Public Relations from Susquehanna University. Prior to joining the Olson Research Group, Ethan spent several years working for Accuweather as part of their marketing team.

Erin Canuso

Vice President, Client Services

Erin serves as Vice President, Client Services, overseeing key client relationships for Olson Research Group. In this role, Erin provides feasibility, pricing and methodology guidance for new project engagements, as well as maintaining an open partnership with long-standing clients to enable smooth, efficient transition of projects to Olson Research Group’s Field Services Department.

Erin joined Olson Research Group, Inc. in 2007, and during her tenure with the company has served as a Project Manager in both Qualitative and Quantitative Field Services, and also as a Quality Control Specialist, ensuring high quality data deliverables on all projects. Erin’s hands-on fieldwork background provides a solid knowledge of the fieldwork process and allows her to guide clients to a successful project engagement. Erin graduated from Arcadia University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology.

Jennifer Thorn

Director, Marketing & Engagement

As Director of Marketing & Engagement, Jennifer’s key responsibilities are to conceptualize, develop, and orchestrate marketing initiatives that meet the overarching strategic goals of Olson Research Group. This includes developing and presenting creative solutions that support and complement the business strategy while maximizing corporate objectives and promoting key messages. Additionally Jennifer oversees our engagement with key researchers and clinicians on priority projects to ensure that we are recruiting and maintaining survey respondents that are of the highest quality and meet the unique needs of our clients.

Prior to joining Olson Research Group, Jennifer worked for several leading healthcare communications and advertising agencies with responsibilities to both domestic and international pharmaceutical brand teams. Jennifer enjoyed playing a key role in the early development and expansion of the International Society of Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) and working closely with top KOLs and clinicians to develop meaningful professional education opportunities throughout the US while at the Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston, MA. Jennifer’s experience includes overseeing large-scale domestic and international healthcare conferences, as well as a broad range of pharmaceutical medical education campaigns and marketing initiatives. Jennifer is a graduate of Rider University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts.

Leanne Frank

Director, Qualitative Field Services

As Director of Qualitative Field Services, Leanne oversees our qualitative project management team ensuring that each qualitative research project reaches target goals from inception to completion. With over 15 years of experience in the market research industry and qualitative recruitment, Leanne is a valuable asset and leader to this piece of our business.

Leanne has held several positions within the organization, beginning as a Project Manager where she was responsible for the successful completion of some of the more challenging studies that Olson Research Group had seen at that time. Leanne was a key member in the development and setup of our California division where she spent three years as the Manager of Operations before returning to our Yardley, PA office. Leanne received a BA in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations from Susquehanna University.

Jenna Skorupa

Director, Quantitative Field Services

As Director of Quantitative Field Services, Jenna manages our team of project managers dedicated to the successful execution of all quantitative studies. Jenna focuses on strategy execution, cross-departmental collaboration, problem solving, and clear communication to support the highest degree of client satisfaction at each stage of a quantitative study’s lifecycle.

Jenna joined Olson Research Group as a Project Manager in 2006. In 2007, Jenna was part of a core group of team members that led the organization’s West coast expansion to California where she filled the roles of Senior Project Manager and Manager of Operations before moving back to the East coast and into her current role in 2014. In her tenure at Olson Research Group, Jenna has been responsible for managing hundreds of projects including Olson’s largest and most complex tracking study and thus has a wealth of knowledge to help both clients and internal team members ensure the success of each project. Jenna is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s Degree in American History.

Laura Tomasello

Director, Operations

As Director of Operations, Laura oversees our programming and quality control departments, ensuring that projects are executed in a timely manner with the highest quality output. This team is the backbone of our project teams driving the success of our quantitative surveys which often entail complex programming logic and testing.

Laura has worked in the healthcare industry for over 10 years. In her 8 years with Olson Research Group, she has gained extensive experience with both quantitative and qualitative research. Laura has held positions including Project Manager, Quality Control Specialist, and Moderator. In 2013, Laura was promoted to Manager, Quality Control, serving as the lead resource integrating Olson’s project teams and programming resources. Laura attended Rowan University working towards a BA in Communications.
